YOUR CHATGPT · YOUR WOOD · ONE WORKSHOP

Bring your scrap pile to ChatGPT

Use ChatGPT for photos and conversation. Wooden Grove saves your measured wood and checks which projects fit. No separate API key or API credits are needed for this plugin workflow; your ChatGPT plan’s limits apply.

  1. Open your personal plugins and connect Wooden Grove. It may still be listed as CutBench. Use the same account as this workshop.
  2. Start a ChatGPT chat, select the plugin with @, and attach your photo in that chat. Lay pieces separately beside a ruler and photograph from above.
  3. Confirm each piece’s measured length, width, and thickness before saving. Species can stay Unknown. ChatGPT then checks your saved wood against the starter projects.

Already know what to build? Describe the project in ChatGPT. Wooden Grove can check a supplied finished part list against your wood. Its five starter designs have saved plans; custom designs still need verified geometry and joinery. Photos uploaded here are not automatically sent to your ChatGPT conversation.

WHAT IS ACTUALLY ON YOUR RACK

Measured offcuts

Record actual remainders on finished boards below the cutting diagrams, or add a measured offcut here. Reuse matches the material and cross section exactly. Stock leaves this library when you record its board as finished.

Saved on this device. Save the library as a file to keep a backup or open it on another device.

Built for straight cuts, small shops, and weekend projects.

Your file

File downloading is unavailable here. Copy these contents and save them using the filename above.

Start a new project?

Your current project has changes. Save it before replacing it, or continue to replace it.

A second life for your scraps

Lay up to 30 pieces separately on a flat surface, with the grain visible. Photograph from directly above. Include a readable ruler in the same plane for rough length and width estimates.

Save a piece of good wood

One physical piece per entry. Use the sound, usable dimensions, excluding defects.

Remove this piece?

Only remove wood that is no longer available in your workshop.
